Data collected by the Global Environmental and Occupational Health (GeoHealth) Hub for  Eastern Africa is available, on a case by case basis and subject to review of submitted goals and objectives, for use to generate new scientific results or to support public health decision making. We are committed to sharing data that has been published, when IRB protocols allow. The following data sets are currently available on request:

  • Requester’s name(s) and position(s)
  • Requester’s Institution (if applicable)
  • Detailed description of the intended use, including opportunities for collaborations with GEOHealth Hub team members if appropriate (2 – 3 paragraphs) 

Data files will be stripped of specific subject identifiers, including name, address, spatial identifiers, school locations, and any other data that could be used to identify a specific study participant or their residence. Recipients must agree to security policies, including password-protected access and encrypted storage that will minimize the risk of unauthorized redistribution. The use of data, when provided, will be strictly for the approved use and not to be shared with any other party. 

In addition, we welcome enquiries from investigators who wish to collaborate with the GEOHealth research team on data analysis projects related to unpublished data and/or complimentary use of published data. The various projects conducted by the GEOHealth Hub team and the types of datasets generated from these projects are described in detail on the Research tab.
